Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
In accordance with previous studies, neurocognitive functioning in persons with severe mental illness and metabolic syndrome shall have deficits or deficits of higher percentiles when compared with persons having severe mental illness without metabolic syndrome.Timepoint: Baseline data will be collected.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Prevalence of metabolic syndrome in persons with Severe Mental Illness.Timepoint: Baseline.;The results can be used to strategize preventive measures against metabolic syndrome and plan cognitive enhancement therapies in persons with Severe Mental Illness, in addition to the treatment they are receiving. In persons with Severe Mental Illness, along with usual treatment, focus can be given to preventive interventions too, in relation to the metabolic syndrome as well as cognitive deficits (like cognitive enhancement therapy).Timepoint: Not applicable.
