Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients of Pediatric age group (1-16 year) of both sexes. 2. All pre diagnosed and new cases based on symptomatology of functional constipation 3. Patients suffering from constipation, willing to participate and taking treatment regularly and co-operating for regular follow-up has been included. 4. All patientâ??s parents giving consent to participate in the study. 5. Selection of doses and potency as per susceptibility of patient will be given orally.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Metabolic and endocrine disease like diabetes mellitus, hyper calcaemia, hypothyroidism that are having constipation. 2. Neurological disorder like multiple sclerosis, spinal cord lesions, cerebrovascular accidents and terminally ill patient associated with constipation 3. Structural diseases like colonic carcinoma, diverticular disease, hirschsprungâ??s disease etc. 4. Immune-compromised patients. 5. Patients who not take medicine & follow up properly and not follow advice, diet and regimen. 6. Cases with other systemic disorders like HIV, Hepatitis, malignancies etc. 7. Severe cases/emergency cases.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To clinically assess the treatment outcome in cases of functional constipation using constipation defecation symptom scale by Rome IV criteria Questionnaire. Timepoint: it will be assessed at base line and at end of three months of duration

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess the improvement in symptoms of cases of functional constipation receiving Individualized Homoeopathic medicines.Timepoint: one year
