Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing general anaesthesia 2. ASA Grading I, II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. ASA 3 and ASA 4 2. Age 60 years 3. History of hypertension 4. History of asthma 5. Patients already on beta blockers or clonidine 6. Contraindication to general anaesthesia
