Intervention1: Fourth hourly oropharyngeal suctioning along with standard oral care.: Standard oral care includes suction of oral cavity as per need and oral care with chlorhexidine every 8th hourly o
in addition to standard oral care, 4th hourly oropharyngeal suctioning will be provided for next 7 days.
Control Intervention1: Standard oral care.: Standard oral care includes suction of oral cavity

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult patients with age of 18 years or older. Within 24 hours (Day-1) of intubation and expected to be mechanically ventilated for at least next 72 hours (Day-3). Enteral feeding (Nasogastric tube and orogastric tube feeding) Patients receiving H2 receptor blocker / proton pump inhibitors.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: •Intubated for aspiration pneumonitis. •Reintubated patients. •Contraindicated for oral care. •Facial or oral surgeries. •Patients with total parenteral nutrition.
