Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA 2 patients who are scheduled for breast surgeries for breast cancer under epidural anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Any contraindication for regional anaesthesia 2. Patients who have difficulty in lying down supine 3. Uncooperative/ Psychiatric patients 4. Endocrinological diseases 5. Immunological diseases 6. Chronic liver disease 7. Chronic pain 8. Signs of infection 9. Allergic to any of the study medication

To assess the change in proinflammatory mediator IL6 before and after epidural anaesthesiaTimepoint: Before and 2 hours after anaesthesia

MeasureTime frame
To assess the change in serum levels of TNF α, IL1β, IL10, IFN γ, IL 2, leucocytes, lymphocytes, neutrophils, monocytes, eosinophils and basophils caused by induction of epidural anaesthesia.Timepoint: Before and 2 hours after anaesthesia
