Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients suffering from classical signs and symptoms of Sandhigatavata. 2. Patients with unilateral or bilateral knee OA. 3. Chronicity less than or equal to grade 3 Moderate OA. ie.Frequent pain during movement, joint stiffness also present especially during long sitting and in morning period. The cartilage between the bones shows obvious damage, and the space between the bones is getting smaller. 4.Patient fit for Kolakulathadi Upanaha. 5.Average knee pain in the last week during weight bearing activities of atleast 4 on a 0 to 10 points VAS for pain.0 means â??no pain 10â??meansâ??worst possible pain 6. Patient without any anatomical deformity in Knee Joint.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with skin diseases. Patients suffering from Gout, Rheumatoid arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematous , Bone TB, psoriatic arthritis and other serious systemic disorders. Patients contraindicated for Swedana. Open wounds on the knee joint. Allergic skin condition. Knee replacement surgical cases.
