Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Postmenopausal women of age group 40-55 years, atleast 1 year after cessation of menstruation, without any gross systemic disease and non-smoker and who can abstain from alcohol during the study period.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: women who underwent surgical menopause, women with hormone replacement therapy women with Kyphoscoliosis women doing regular practice of vigorous athletic activities and yoga women on drugs influencing respiratory function women with other inflammatory conditions, pre-existing pulmonary conditions, active infections (gynae inflammatory conditions).

1. To assess the pulmonary function test parameters and inflammatory markers before and after 12 weeks of yoga therapy in postmenopausal women and compare them with controls. 2.
