Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Systemically healthy patient with minimum 20 teeth present. Otherwise healthy non-smoker periodontally healthy and non-smoker with periodontitis patients were recruited. .

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient with less than 20 no. of teeth present. Pregnant, lactating and menopausal women. Subject who have received periodontal therapy within preceeding 6 months. Patients with diabetes, hypertension and other systemic diseases.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To assess and compare the salivary level of Interleukin-18 and Interleukin-35 in subjects with gingivitis, periodontitis and healthy periodontium. Timepoint: Baseline and 3 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the salivary levels of Interleukin-18 and Interleukin-35 before and after the non surgical periodontal therapy in subjects with periodontal disease.Timepoint: Base line and 3 months
