Interventions

Control Intervention1: epidural magnesium sulphate: two groups of patient will be made one group will receive 20ml of drug containing 0.75% ropivacaine 19ml(142.5) and 1ml of magnesium sulphate 50 mg

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients of either gender , aged between 18 to 65 years american society of anaesthesiologists grade 1 and 2 patients patients scheduled for lowerlimb surgeries under epidural anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patients with known allergy to any of the study drugs all known contraindicationsto epidural anaesthesia like - patient refusal for epidural catheter insertion and inability to give consent patients with coagulation disorder and on anticouglants. patient with local skin infections or disease patients with a history of underlying neuromuscular and psychological disorder, drug or alcohol abuse. patients with previous spinal surgeries ,spine abnormalities.

TO EVALUATE EFFECT OF MAGNESIUM SULPHATE AS AN ADJUVANT TO 0.75% ROPIVACAINE ON ONSET OF SENSORY BLOCKADE IN EPIDURAL ANAESTHESIA FOR LOWER LIMB SURGERIES. TO EVALUATE EFFECT OF 0.75% ROPIVACAINE ON ONSET OF SENSORY BLOCKADE IN EPIDURAL ANAESTHESIA FOR LOWER LIMB SURGERIES. TO COMPARE EFFECT OF MAGNESIUM SULPHATEAS AN ADJUVANT TO 0.75% ROPIVACAINE AND 0.75% ROPIVACAINE ALONE ON ONSET OF SENSORY BLOCKADE IN EPIDURAL ANAESTHESIA FOR LOWER LIMB SURGERIES.Timepoint: surgery is allowed till sensory level reach t8 and vital readings taken every 5 min till surgery goes on then hourly up to 6hour ,2 hourly up to 12 hour then every 4 hourly up to 24 hour	—
