Intervention1: 1. Group 1 - BRIX3000 : 1. Group 1 - BRIX3000 is a chemomechanical agent (papain-based gel) applied on isolated tooth surface for 30 seconds and later the tooth surface will be rinsed

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients who are in the age group of 6-14 years and are willing to participate in the study. 2.Primary and permanent molars with open carious lesion with dentine involvement [ICDAS-3 Ekstrand et al.. (15) ] 3.Patients who are rated as positive on Frankel’s behaviour rating scale. 4.No proximal caries should be evidenced on the intra oral periapical radiograph in the teeth to be studied. 5.No radiographic or clinical evidence of pulp involvement, furcation involvement or periapical pathology. 6.The opening of the carious lesion should be large enough to allow penetration of a small excavator.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with history of pain and pulp exposure. 2.Patients with sinus opening or pus discharge. 3.Grossly decayed teeth. 4.Physically and mentally disabled children. 5.Tooth which have already been restored or fractured.
