Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: PATIENTS posted for elective surgery under general anaesthesia requiring right subclavian vein cannulation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) history of previous central venous cannulation of right subclavian vein 2) previous thoracic surgery 3) infection over puncture site 4) pneumothorax 5)distorted anatomy of neck and clavicle 6) history of radiotherapy, past surgery over site of catheterization
