Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with PCOS (Rortterdam criteria ) will be recruited in the study. Controls will include 40 healthy age matched women without any clinical features of PCOS, as defined in Rotterdam criteria.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria will include patients with hyperprolactinemia; thyroid dysfunction; adrenal dysfunction; hypertension; pregnancy; any history of cancer; neurological disorders like Parkinsonâ??s disease, alzheimerâ??s disease, respiratory diseases like asthma; history of taking hormonal treatment/antiepileptic drugs/ hypertensive medications/ insulin sensitizing drugs/ statins/ aspirin in last 3 months; autoimmune disease; type 1/2 diabetes mellitus; acute inflammatory conditions; acute pancreatitis; acute cholecystitis; cardiac ischemia; kidney failure and current smoker

To find out the levels of IMA in PCOS patients and to compare those with healthy individuals. Timepoint: Only baseline IMA levels before starting treatment
