Intervention1: Diclofenac Transdermal Patch: Patient receives 100mg of diclofenac diethylamine transdermal patch on his/her forearm, one hour prior to root canal treatment

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Systemically healthy patients Age: 18-60 years Mandibular molars diagnosed with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis VAS score 1-6 (mild to moderate pain) Periapical Index Score less than or equal to 2 Periodontally sound tooth
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Systemic diseases/ allergic reactions/ pregnant or lactating mother Patient had taken analgesics within last 3 days Previous RCT Swelling/ Sinus tract Severe periodontal disease Periapical radiolucency Curved roots, excessively long/short root length, calcified canals Patient with complications during the treatment such as broken files, over instrumentation, overfilling or incomplete filling Modified dental anxiety score more than 19
