Intervention1: High fiber diet.: other group will receive high fiber diet for a period of 3 month at the end of 4 weeks and 3 months and child will be followed for 3 months and reduction in constipati

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Children of age 1 year-6 years with cerebral palsy having chronic constipation. 2. Not receiving any medications affecting gastrointestinal motility

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Intractable constipation -disorder where constipation symptoms do not respond to standard laxative therapy, dietery and lifestyle changes even after 3 months of treatment. 2. Nutrition via alternate route. 3. Children with identified congenital malformations in the gastrointestinal tract.

to compare the proportion of patients in whom constipation was relieved receiving peg and high fiber diet assessed clinically by following parameters passing stools more than 2 times weekly,soft stool,no pain on defaecation,no palpation of hard stools on abdominal examination,no fecal incontinence,no blood in stools.Timepoint: patients belonging to both the groups of intervention will be assessed at the end of 4 weeks and 3 months	—
