Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patients of either sex, aged 18 to 65 years. 2. Patients belonging to the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Grade 1 and 2. 3. Patients scheduled for transcranial craniotomy for meningioma excision.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Any patient/guardian refusing to provide consent to participate in the study 2. Loss to follow up of the patients for 3 months. 3. Patients with a history of blood transfusion within the last three months. 4. Patients with pre-existing significant systemic diseases like hepatic or renal diseases, leukemias, etc. 5. Patients with significant coagulopathies or hematological abnormality, those on anticoagulants, or with deranged International Normalised Ratio (INR). 6. Patients with recurrent tumors posted for re-do surgery. 7. Patients with a history of embolization 8. Patients posted for endoscopic excision of the tumor 9. ASA grade 3 and 4 patients
