Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Children with early childhood caries and children without early childhood caries will be selected 2. Parents giving consent for the study will be selected

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Children who received any antibiotics and anti-fungal drugs in past 3 months will be excluded. 2. Children who received topical or systemic fluorides in past one month will be excluded. 3. Children with special health care needs will be excluded.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Presence of Candida albicans in early childhood caries children will be assessed and absence of candida albicans in non early childhood caries children will be assessed.Timepoint: After 48 hours of inoculation, presence or absence of Candida albicans will be assessed.—

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Confirmed Candida albicans will be assessed for antifungal activity of ketoconazole, neem, miswak, cinnamon, clove and stevia through zone of inhibition.Timepoint: 2 weeks—
