Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Females 18 to 60 years of age, ASA grade III or less, posted for elective hysterotomy under general anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Refusal to consent 2. ASA > IV or higher 3. Prior neurological problems 4. History of head trauma 5. Patients with prior intracranial surgery 6. Patients with ocular pathology/surgery 7. History of carotid disease

To compare mean bilateral optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) at all other time pointsTimepoint: ROBOTIC HYSTERECTOMY GROUP -immediately (approximately 10 minutes) after intubation (T0), after steep tendlenberg position (T1), 30 minutes after docking (T2), 90 minutes after docking (T3), 180 minutes after docking (T4), and at completion of surgery (dedocking) (T5) OPEN ABDOMINAL HYSTERECTOMY GROUP-immediately (approximately 10 minutes) after intubation (T0), at start of surgery (T1), 30 minutes (T2), 90 minutes (T3), 180 minutes (T4), and at completion of surgery (T5);Any signs of raised ICP like agitation, confusion, blurring of vision, conjunctival oedema and periorbital oedemaTimepoint: In recovery for 2 hours after surgery—
