Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: American Society of Anaesthesiologists Physical Status (ASA-PS) I and II General anesthesia with endotracheal tube Duration of surgery greater than 1 hour and less than 3 hours duration.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with a recent history of sore throat or upper respiratory tract infection Difficult airway Smokers Pregnant patients Patients with allergy to either zinc or benzocaiaine

| Incidence of post operative sore throat within first 24 hours after extubation. The severity of Post operative sore throat will be graded on a 4-point scale ranging from 0 to 3; 0 being no sore throat, 1 being mild discomfort (complaints only upon questioning), 2 being moderate sore throat (complains of his/her own), and 3 being severe sore throat (change in voice, hoarseness and throat pain). Timepoint: Incidence of post operative sore throat within first 24 hours after extubation.
