Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All consecutive patients aged more than 18 years with a previous MRI scan diagnosed disc herniation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Acute/ Chronic diseases like diabetes mellitus, hypertension, renal, hepatic disorders. (ii) Anti-inflammatory drug use. (iii) Malignancy. (iv) Patients with leucocytosis. (v) Patients with accompanying rheumatologic disease (vi) Autoimmune disease. (vii) Hemolysed blood samples. (viii) Under or overfilled EDTA vacutainers
