Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients aged 18 years or older. 2. Patients diagnosed with Bipolar affective disorder (BPAD) attending psychiatry OPD at AIIMS Patna.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who are unable to comprehend the nature and purpose of the study to provide informed consent. 2. Patients who are clinically unstable or unable to attend follow-up visits will not be eligible to participate. 3. Patients with a mental illness other than BPAD. 4. patients who are unwilling to participate in the study.

MeasureTime frame
1. Drug adherence to psychotropic medication measured by drug attitude inventory 10 which scored positive signifies adherence to psychotropic medication 2. Self-efficacy in the management of the illness (BPAD- bipolar affective disorder) measured by bipolar self-efficacy scale which scored 85 and above signifies improved Self-efficacy.Timepoint: at baseline and after 1 week
