Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients aged 18 and above, receiving chemotherapy, irrespective of gender. All sites of intravenous administration. Patients receiving supportive therapy including supplements along with Chemotherapy through IV route.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: All patients below 18 years of age. Patients suffering from venous thromboembolism or related blood disorders. Patients genetically susceptible to developing blood clots. Patients receiving thrombolytic or antiplatelet agents.

The study aims to identify the incidence of thrombophlebitis in patients receiving chemotherapy in both General Surgery and Medical Oncology Departments, along with the severity of pain associated with thrombophlebitis and suitable management for the above mentioned adverse effect also be documented.Timepoint: Date of admission to date of discharge

Through this study, sufficient knowledge will be obtained regarding the efficient management and prevention of thrombophlebitis, which will help to improve the patientâ??s quality of life, thereby reducing morbidity and mortality by preventing life-threatening complications like deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism.Timepoint: Date of admission to date of discharge
