Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with infections. Patients admitted to General Medicine and General Surgery units. Patients hospitalized with uncontrolled hyperglycemia with PPBS, FBS,RBS as per the ADA diagnostic criteria for Diabetes Mellitus. Patients only treated with either basal-bolus regimen or sliding-scale regimen.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with any other classes of Diabetes Mellitus Patients case sheets with insufficient data Patients not on insulin or who are on comedications for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
