Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All platelet donors who satisfy the eligibility criteria for plateletpheresis procedure laid down by the Drugs and Cosmetic act 1940 and mentioned in the Departmental SOP will be included in the study. Same inclusion criteria will be applied for both the donations. Only donors who donate on both the machines will be included in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: All platelet donors who do not satisfy the eligibility criteria for plateletpheresis procedure laid down by the Drugs and Cosmetic act 1940 and mentioned in the Departmental SOP will be excluded from the study. Healthy platelet donors with RBC : <3.5 x 1012/L, Hemoglobin : <12.5 g/dl, Platelet: <1,50,000 x 109/L will also be excluded from the study. Same exclusion criteria will be applied for both the donations. Donors will be allowed to withdraw anytime from the study. All donors who do not wish to go in for second donation on the other cell separator will also be excluded from the final analysis.
