Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the early postoperative morbidity following surgical treatment for CRC in emergency and elective groups.Timepoint: Complications developing within 30 days of surgery will be considered as early postoperative morbidity

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Disease-free survival and overall survivalTimepoint: Disease free survival is defined as the time from surgical resection to the date of cancer recurrence diagnosed during surveillance during follow-up or during symptom directed evaluation. Overall survival was defined as the time from surgical resection to death, regardless of the cause.;Predictors leading to inpatient mortality in Colorectal cancer surgeryTimepoint: It includes demographic details, clinical features, intraoperative data, post-operative course, pathological results to determine the factors contributing to inpatient mortality.;The Histopathological findingsTimepoint: Based on location, extent, lymphovascular invasion, perineural invasion, lymph node yield, grade; The mean postoperative hospital stayTimepoint: Length of postoperative hospital stay is from the day of surgery to discharge/death.;The postoperative inpatient mortalityTimepoint: Death of a patient occurring in the hospital, during the hospital stay of index surgery.
