Intervention1: ASSESSMENT OF GASTRIC VOLUME AFTER INGESTION OF APPLE JUICE OR 5% DEXTROSE IN CHILDERN SCHEDULED FOR SURGERY: All the children will be kept nil per oral for solids for a minimum period

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All children between 4 â?? 10 y of age, American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) status 1 and 2, undergoing routine surgery.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Abnormal upper gastrointestinal anatomy 2.History of lower esophageal or gastric surgery 3.History of gastrointestinal disease (hiatus hernia, esophageal reflux, gastritis) 4.Recent upper gastrointestinal bleeding (within 1 month) 5.Ongoing treatment affecting gastric motility 6.Clinically significant kidney or liver disease 7.BMI >95th percentile
