Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with sinonasal polyposis undergoing FESS or previously operated patients being taken up for revision surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with history of oral steroid usage in the past 6 months for sinonasal polyposis 2. Patients with autoimmune disorders requiring regular usage of immunomodulatory drugs or steroids 3. Patients with diabetes mellitus 4. Syndrome associated sinonasal polyposis patients.

To assess whether pre-operative prednisolone improves the intra-operative and post operative parameters in patients of sinonasal polyposis undergoing Functional Endoscopic Sinus SurgeryTimepoint: 3 months—

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the outcomes using scoring systems such as SNOT-22, DIPS score, Lund Kennedy score, Preoperative Sinus Endoscopy Score and Lund - Mackay score. In addition intra-operative subjective assessment by the surgeon will be taken in to account.Timepoint: Preoperatively intital assessment will be done; intra-operative assessment at the time of surgery; post operative assessment at 3 months—
