Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Decompensated heart failure with LVEF definition of heart failure based on the European Society of Cardiology Criteria. Echo-cardiography based assessment of LVEF is an essential criteria. Heart failure probability will be assessed based on clinical history, physical examination and ECG abnormality. Assessment of natruretic peptides will not be an essential criteria.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Bed-ridden patients and those who are not able to provide written informed consent.

The number of days alive and out-of hospital (DAOH) during the two-year follow-up period. The DAOH is a patient-centred outcome, which accounts for multiple events over the course of a study period, weights death more than hospitalization, and deaths occurring early more than those occurring later.
