Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 36 Patients Aged between 18 to 60 years of either sex, belonging to ASA{ American society of Anesthesiologists } physical status(1 and 2) scheduled to undergo percutaneous nephrolithotomy under spinal anaesthesia for a single renal stone of >2cm diameter and requiring single subcostal puncture will be included in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients having > Contraindications to spinal anaesthesia such as coagulopathy , infection at the site of lumbar puncture etc. > Excessive intraoperative bleeding. > More than one puncture and requiring supracostal puncture. > BMI >35kgm/2 > Chronic drug/analgesic abuse > Refusal to give consent will not included in the study
