Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. age >18yrs 2. patient should be well oriented and coherent 3. all gender 4. all extremity amputees

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Patients with known head injury or neurological disorders 2.Patients with known psychiatric illness before the traumatic amputation 3.Patients who don’t give consent 4.Patient without social support 5.Patient who shows signs of overt depression immediate post-operatively

To compare the quality of life of post traumatic amputees after psychosocial intervention in addition to conventional care versus conventional care only.Timepoint: 7weeks

MeasureTime frame
To compare the effect of psychosocial intervention on Phantom limb pain, on body image and self-esteem, depression and anxiety.Timepoint: 7 weeks
