Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (i) Age greater than equal to18 years (ii) Patient planned for upper GI endoscopy, suspected for gastric cancer or chronic superficial gastritis (iii) Nativity more than 15 years based on the Centre (Southern India, Eastern India, North east, Northern India and Western India)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: i. uncontrolled Diabetes ( Plasma glucose levels >250 mg/dl, Random plasma glucose levels > 300 mg/dl, or HbA1C >10%) Ref: Diabetes Care 32:193ââ?¬â??203, 2009 ii. Autoimmune disorders (SLE, Rheumatoid arthritis, Coeliac disease, Multiple sclerosis, Thyroiditis, etc.) iii. Antibiotics during the last 3 months iv. Chronic steroid intake ( >1 month) v. NSAID use ( >1 month) except low dose Aspirin vi. HIV vii. Substance abuse except smoking and alcohol viii. Patients on H. Pylori treatment during the last 3 months ix. Patients on probiotic during the last one-month x. Recent Covid- 19 infection in the last 4 weeks proven by PCR/Rapid antigen test (RAT)
