Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Normal Individuals above 18 years old ,consuming oral diet,with normal oral structures (Except teeth exhibiting normal cognition with no history of neurological, psychiatry, psychological deficits

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals exhibiting oral pathologies that cause mastication difficulties and intolerance/allergy to the food being tested.

MeasureTime frame
Number of bites (semi-solid/solids)- Observation based on the no of segments of the solid food. Number of masticatory cycles- will be counted based on jaw movement observation. Number of swallows- Visual/palpable observation of thyroid cartilage movement. Total time taken to complete the ingestion- the time period from the food administers in the mouth till the individual says their name.Timepoint: 14 weeks

MeasureTime frame
Readily available protocol of food consistencies using commercially available food items that can be used in assessments of individuals with Dysphagia. Convenient and appropriate for clinical dysphagia assessment in India. Comparative findings in young adults, middle aged and elderly populations.Timepoint: 14 weeks
