Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 probing depth more than or equal to 5mm, 2 subjects with no periodontal treatment for the past 6 months, 3 oral glucose tolerance tests more than or equal to 200 mg per dl, or fasting plasma glucose more than or equal to 126 mg per dl or glycated Hb more than or equal to 6.5

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: pregnant women, smokers, cardiovascular disease, immunodeficiency disorders, hemodialysis patients, bleeding disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, oral cancerous lesions
