Intervention1: Active oxygen toothpaste: Patients would be asked to use toothpaste for maintaining oral hygiene.
Frequency : twice daily - morning and before going to bed for a period of one month

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 15-25 years 2.Fixed mechanotherapy with the MBT straight wire appliance â?? stainless steel brackets (0.022inch slot) initiated at least 6 months ago. 3.Patients who underwent extraction of all first premolars and are currently on rectangular SS arch wires. 4.Full complement of teeth (excluding first premolars and third molars) 5.Good general health 6.No antiâ??inflammatory or antibiotic medications taken a month before the study 7.Patients with good oral hygiene at ( assessed with pre - treatment and present OHI- S scores. A score of 8.Habit of brushing twice daily.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients on medication for any systemic disease 2. syndromic patients.
