Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients, both male and female, aged 20 to 80 years, undergoing emergency laparotomy for intestinal perforation under general anesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Presence of diagnosis of cystic fibrosis, congestive heart failure, respiratory failure, renal failure, cirrhosis and cancer. 2.An immunocompromising condition will be defined as one of the following: 1.Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection 2.Neutropenia ( 3.Active chemotherapy within the 3 months preceding eligibility or immunosuppressive therapy after organ transplantation.
