Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients age > 18 years including both diabetic and non-diabetics having bacteria and fungi growing in blood culture.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Infections or sepsis, with no proven organisms in blood cultures or culture growing contaminants Immunocompromised state such as malignancy, HIV infection , use of steroids and other drugs such as chemotherapy, or other immunosuppressives. B) Blood will be collected for testing of above mentioned investigations.

| To identify all the patients with blood stream infections in both diabetics and non-diabetics admitted in ICU and study their microbiological profile. 3.To define the clinical profile of patients with diabetes with bloodstream infections in ICU with regard to duration, control, and presence of co morbidities. 4.To study the severity in the form of SOFA score, need of inotropes, mechanical ventilation in both groups. 5.To document outcome in the form of hospital stay and mortality.
