Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -ASA physical status I/II -Undergoing arthroscopic knee surgeries under spinal anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -Patient with history of allergy to any of the study drugs -Body mass index > 35 kg/m2 -opioid abuse -fungal/viral /local infection -hypertensive disorders -psychiatric illness

Primary

MeasureTime frame
to compare the duration of sensory blockade, time to first rescue analgesia and pain scoreTimepoint: 04,06,12,24 hours post operatively

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
to note the time for first ambulation,assessment of quadriceps strengthand any adverse effects like hypotension,bradycardia in both the groupsTimepoint: 24 hr post operatively
