Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients scheduled for elective surgeries under general anaesthesia with endotracheal intubation 2.Adult patients between 18-65 years of either sex, American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I, II and III will be included in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patient refusal 2.NYHA class 4 / ASA class 4 3.Uncontrolledpoorly controlled hypertension 4.Hemodynamically unstable patients 5.Decompensated heart failure 6.Significant valvular disease 7.Significant carotid stenosis 8.Pheochromocytoma 9.Inability to visualize IVC
