Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for control subjects Group I: 1. Participants whose sensitivity is within normal limits in both the ears. 2. Age range- 18-35 years of age. 3. Participants whose middle ear status is intact with A type tympanogram. • No history of associated medical conditions like head injury, cerebro-vascular accident, meningitis. Inclusion criteria for Group II: 1. Adult Participants whose hearing sensitivity is less than mild degree in both the ears. 2. No history of associated medical conditions like head injury, cerebro-vascular accident, meningitis. 3. Participants with noise exposure will be assessed with the help of NESI (Noise Exposure Structured Interview) questionnaire.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for control subjects Group I: 1. Participants with the diagnosis of conductive pathology and cognitive deficits. 2. Participants who are diagnosed with cochlear and retro cochlear pathologies. 3. Participants with noise exposure will be excluded with the help of NESI (Noise Exposure Structured Interview) questionnaire. Exclusion criteria for Group II: 1. Participants with the diagnosis of conductive pathology and cognitive deficits. 2. Participants who are diagnosed retro cochlear pathologies.

1. Finding out the behavioral threshold, that is, Percentage correct scores as a function of TFS distortion. 2. Comparison of amplitude in microvolt between regular stimulus versus the distorted stimulus in normal hearing and noise exposed individuals. 3. Cross correlation of FFR and Behavioural test findings in normal hearing individuals and individuals with noise exposure.Timepoint: At baseline
