Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. All the subjects who underwent laparoscopic Hellerââ?¬•s myotomy with angle of His accentuation from January 2010 to December 2020 2. Subjects willing to give consent to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients not consenting for participation. 2. Patients with less than 1 year follow up.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1. To assess the symptom relief using Eckardt score, DeMeester heartburn score in comparison with the preoperative scores. 2. To assess the Quality of life using disease specific health related quality of life for achalasia questionnaire (A-DSQoL) in comparison to the pre-operative score. Timepoint: more than 1 year

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. To assess the prevalence of esophagitis and other (Barrette�s and malignancies) reflux related complications using endoscopy. 2. To measure high resolution manometry (HRM) parameters and Timed Barium swallow outcomes following LHCM with AOH and their correlation with pre-op parameters and recurrence of symptoms. Timepoint: more than 1 year
