Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients with Angleâ??s Class I/ Class II div 1 malocclusion with anterior crowding (greater than 5mm) or bimaxillary protrusion requiring extraction of premolars.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients who did not provide oral and written consent to participation 2.Patients with systemic illness, debilitating diseases 3.Patients in active growth phase 4.Patients with very poor oral hygiene, with active periodontal diseases, smoking habit 5.Patients with previous history of orthodontic treatment 6.Patients with gross skeletal and dentofacial deformities which require orthognathic surgery
