Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosed cases of Hypothyroidism. Basti arha patients will be included for group A and C

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients suffering from co morbid or life threatening aliments. Known cases of thyroid neoplasm. Congenital hypothyroidism and anatomical deformity related to thyroid gland. Rapid progressive cases of myxoedema. Individuals suffering from immune compromises diseases or on immune suppressant drugs. Basti anarha patients will be excluded for group A and C. Pregnancy and lactation.

MeasureTime frame
To develop a protocol for Ayurvedic management of Hypothyroidism. To access effect on different clinical parameters such as weight gain, loss of appetite, constipation etc. of Hypothyroidism. To access effect on different biochemical parameters specifically decrease in ultrasensitive TSH. To access the comparative efficacy of study drug with conventional drug Thyroxine.Timepoint: 60 days

To study nidanpanchak of Hypothyroidism. To propose the etiopathogenesis of Hypothyroidism from ayurvedic point of view. To propose possible mode of action of Ayurved treatment protocol and study drug. To review the modern literature on Hypothyroidism in detail. To note any coincidental finding.Timepoint: 2 years
