Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1)American Society of Anaesthesiologists grade 1 and 2 2)Patients undergoing lower abdominal and lower limb surgery under subarachnoid block. 3)Patients within the age group of 20-60years. 4)Elective procedures.

| 1.To study the incidence of post anaesthetic shivering with the use of magnesium sulfate 2.To study the effectiveness of magnesium sulfate in reducing post operative pain for 24 hours. 3.Comparison of the two groups(Test and the control group) in terms of postoperative pain and post anaesthetic shivering. 4.Time of rescue analgesics among both the groups. Timepoint: 1.Incidence of shivering is recorded during the intraoperative period. 2. Post operatively patient is attended at 2nd, 4th,6th, 12th,18th and 24th hour and anytime the VAS is above 4 rescue analgesic is given. | — |
