Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: all patients between ages of 18 and 70 years posted for ECT whose relatives consent for the trial will be included

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: less than 18 years and >70 years will be excluded

Primary

MeasureTime frame
lowest recorded oxygen saturation and time for recovery of saturation from lowest recorded to 95%Timepoint: immediately after termination of seizure.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
hemodynamic changes(heart rate,blood pressure) in relation to episodes of desaturation.Timepoint: immediately post termination of seizure at baseline, 10 mins and 30mins.
