Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)Patient undergoing ERCP procedure. 2)Written informed consent given. 3)SA physical status groups I or II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Pregnant and lactating women 2)Hypoxemia (oxygen saturation [by pulse oximetry] 3)Patients with  significant impairment of hepatic/renal/cardiac functions and respiratory disease such as asthma, bronchitis or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease 4)Patients with known allergy/hypersensitivity to local anaesthetic agent or any other drugs

MeasureTime frame
To assess gag reflex during the passage of endoscope across the pharynx using four different formulations of local anaesthetic agent.Timepoint: After the end of the end of the procedure.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess  patientâ??s acceptance of  the mode of delivery of local anaesthetic agent. Endoscopistâ??s comfort in the choice of mode of delivery of local anaesthetic agent. Number of top up dose of sedatives required to minimize the reflex.Timepoint: After the end of the end of the procedure.
