Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients with pubertal growth remaining. 2.Patients with Angles class II malocclusion. 3.Patients with overjet of at least 4mm. 4.Patients willing for mandibular advancement appliance therapy (MAA). 5.Patients with no clinical signs of periodontal diseases. 6.Patients with no history of periodontal therapy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Previous history of any orthodontic or orthopedic treatment. 2.Previous extraction of permanent teeth or planned extractions. 3.Any bone pathology, ankylosed teeth. 4.Patients taking drugs modifying normal bone physiology (i.e., bisphosphonates) on or before a period of 3months. 5.Long term use of antibiotics, phenytoin, cyclosporine, anti-inflammatory drugs, systemic corticosteroids, and calcium channel blockers. 6.Patients with evidence of bone loss.
