Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with culture /PCR confirmed melioidosis. Patients diagnosed with tuberculosis confirmed by smear positive and/or Gene Xpert. Age and Gender matched healthy controls with and without diabetes mellitus

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients below 18 years of age
