Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient giving informed consent. American Society of Anesthesiologists(ASA) grade I or II scheduled for laproscopic cholecystectomy under general anesthesia. Patient aged 18-65 yrs. Patients with BMI of 18.5-22.9 kg/m2.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Allergy to local anesthetic agents. Skin conditions precluding the block. Preoperative chronic dependence upon opioid medication. Skin infection at the puncture site. Surgeries lasting for more than 120 mins.

MeasureTime frame
To compare the VAS score between Serratus anterior plane block and Transversus abdominis plane block for post operative analgesia after Laproscopic cholecystectomy.Timepoint: At the end of surgery and every hr for the first 6 hrs, at 12 hrs, 18hrs and 24hrs

MeasureTime frame
To compare the duration of first rescue analgesic needed. To compare total consumption of analgesics in 24 hrs. To compare hemodynamic parameters. To compare the complications, if any. Timepoint: At the end of surgery and every hr for the first 6 hrs, at 12 hrs, 18hrs and 24hrs
