Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients with alcohol dependence syndrome according to ICD-10 DCR 2) Male patients 3) Age 18-50 years 4) Can read and write English or Tamil 5) No other sub-stance dependence except Nicotine dependence 6) Have completed detoxification and benzodiazepines have been stopped
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Acute unstable comorbid medical conditions such as Decompensated Chronic Liver Disease, Acute Kidney injury, chronic kidney disease or Congestive heart failure which will prevent assessment of patient 2) Presence of neurological disorders such as Cerebrovascular accident or dementia 3) Presence of intellectual impairment on clinical evaluation or on available Intelligence Quotient (IQ) test report
