Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To determine time taken and success rate of digitally assisted nasogastric tube insertion in anaesthetised intubated patiients in comparison with conventional methods.Timepoint: 1.Insertion of NG Tube after 5 min of induction of anaesthesia. 2. Check position of NG tube by auscultation to determine success/failure of procedure. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To compare stress response of NG Tube insertion; by measuring heart rate(HR), systolic BP(SBP) , diastolic BP(DBP), mean arterial pressure(MAP).Timepoint: 1. Measure HR, SBP, DBP, MAP before insertion of NG tube. 2. Measure HR, SBP, DBP, MAP at the time of confirmation of NG Tube by auscultation. | — |
