Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: clinically suspected sepsis or septic shock with qSOFA score = 2.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with etiologies of shock other than sepsis. Patients who do not consent for the study. Patients with pre existing or proven peripheral vascular diseases

MeasureTime frame
Correlation of core to peripheral temperature gradient with 7 day mortality.Timepoint: 7 days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Changes in core to peripheral temperature gradient with resuscitation. Correlation with other markers of hypoperfusion. Correlation with 28 day mortality, duration of ICU stay, days on ventilator, vasopressor requirement, dialysis requirement, length of hospital stay, intervention free days, adverse consequences of therapy.Timepoint: 28 days
